Letter from Richard King

Dear Citizens of Henderson County,

After prayerful consideration and with the support of my family, friends, and neighbors, I am honored to announce my candidacy for Sheriff of Henderson County.

For over 20 years, I have served West Tennessee in various law enforcement roles, including Correctional Officer, traffic operations investigator, Special Services Sergeant, and Liaison. These experiences have shown me that strong leadership, accountability, and training are the foundation of safe communities.

While I am proud of my professional accomplishments, my greatest roles are those of husband and father. My family inspires me to ensure Henderson County remains a place where every citizen can feel secure and confident in their law enforcement.

If elected as your Sheriff, I will focus on preparing our department for the challenges ahead, upholding the highest standards of integrity, and using resources responsibly. By embracing modern strategies and fostering accountability, we can build a Sheriff's Office that truly earns the community's trust.

This is a pivotal time for Henderson County. We deserve a Sheriff's Office that leads with professionalism, prioritizes training, and builds lasting partnerships with the people it serves.
